  2. seriously. when do you actually sleep Craig? I never seem to notice any down time around here...

one half doesnt sleep, the other doesnt do any work...

    ReplyDelete
  3. People... About time you get it: Craig is actually Lestat!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Craig, what exactly do you do for work that allows you this much freedom?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yeah, Craig, are you on your computer 24/7? When do you find time to eat and sleep?

  6. Hi,

I was at the show last night 4th row from Porl and I must say that has to be one of the funnest Cure shows I have ever been to. Robert was dancing all night and the mic toss (you see in the videos) was awesome. The guy didn't know what to do and Robert egged him on to sing. Everyone was having so much fun and it was very infectious. Everyone have fun tonight in Phoenix!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I knew that: Robert is a funny guy! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  8. I WANNA SAY HI TO ALL MY COUSINS AND FAMILY WHO ARE AT THE SHOW RIGHT NOW! TAKE SOME GOOD PICTURES, DUDES!

wait. i'm the one one who is here to read this...
:| i'm so bad at shout outs!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Can't wait to see the Close to Me clips at lunch break. Thanks for the links!

Won't be able to hang around here much today. Tons of work. :( You guys have fun! And I might pop in for a while during lunch break. :)

From now on I'm saying this at every show: I want WANT!

    ReplyDelete
  10. This master list, it was hard to make it out, does anyone want to transcribe the tracks they havent played off it yet?

    I pick Underneath tonite

    ReplyDelete
  11. I won't be able to make it tonight...but have fun !

  12. hi yesteday i put a commnet about

    how the cure should celebrate

30th aniversay, but nobady took me

seriously, so here i go again...

    the london suede celebrated his

    10th aniversary playing every song

of every album even besides and

rarities, so my point is, why

don't we togueter write to the

    cure or in

this web, how we the fans want

    celebrate 30th aniversary of the

cure, i think here there are

people influential who can be grow

up this idea, imagine the cure

    playing every album even besides

and rarities to us, it would be

the best way to pleased us.

it is a god idea, isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Robert is such the cutie.

    Tx for this Craig. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  14. ram, that would be wonderful, but the cure have so much material that it would last for days

    ReplyDelete
  15. What a way to start the day!

1st - a fantastic video of Simon - be still my beating heart
2nd - travel to an off-site meeting (45minutes out of my way) to get stood up!!!!! (by a guy named Simon)

The upside to point 2, is I am in the office before the show starts!

3rd - I've decided to put in for some leave to be able to do the Monday & Tuesday shows from home.

    Life is good!

    ReplyDelete
  16. RAM: it would probably take about 2 weeks straight - playing 3 hours a night - for the Cure to play all their songs...

    ReplyDelete
  17. well this is my mathematical....
    the cure has 300 songs....

if they play 33 song by concert (not playing the same songs)

in 9 concert it resolved this problem....

    i still crazy and confused?

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think there are missing: Figurehead, Siamese Twins,Drowning man, Charlotte Sometimes, Holy Hour, Hanging Garden, the Big Hand,Shiver and Shake, Torture, Watching me fall,Want, Same deep Water as you, Club America, ABINK and 6? Songs from the new Album.
BTW, does someone knowes if they already played Wrong Number and Never enough?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Take a look at the song tracker on the side of the blog. :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. ram, nice sentiment, but i'll settle for 3 per album plus some b-sides, as they couldn't possibly do ALL their songs. LOL. But yeah, sure, they could do a 5-6 hour anniversary concert (with an intermission) and I have a feeling we'd all be killing each other for tix.

    ReplyDelete
  21. i know this is a big challenge,of

course this idea is not for this

    tour, maybe for september, because

i think if they wish come true

this dream, they could do it in 4

concert by month so in 9 week, 1

concert by week it will fixed...

    it still a bad idea?

    ReplyDelete
  22. bernie, the correct question is, when have they NOT played WN and NE?! Last nite marked the first time they did not play them. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  23. i repeat 33 songs for concert in 9 concert...it's 300 songs....
    i guess this is possible....

what do you think about it?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Do you think that we're going to get any other new songs on this tour? It's been a while since any new stuff debuted. This new album can't get here soon enough.

    ReplyDelete
  25. i'm hoping for one more new song

    ReplyDelete
  26. Cat - Actually, last night was the second night they didn't play both of them. They didn't play them at the Shrine either. So hopefully, it's a TREND!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. clockwise, it's not necesary 5 or 6 hours to play them,,,,only 33 songs in 9 concert, the result is 300 songs..... they could do it.
    i am a dreamer guy or stupid?arent'i?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ram-you're a dreamer...but it's okay, i'll dream along with you

    ReplyDelete
  29. well nobady want to support my idea?
    .....i'm waiting.....

    ReplyDelete
  30. i support it, i just don't think it's likely that it will happen

    ReplyDelete
  31. well this is the best web about the cure in internet, so if somebody post it in this webside maybe robert could read it and we leave him with a new idea....possible maybe.....

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ram, good thought, just not feasible.

Now, maybe they could poll their fans and play the Top 30 songs requested..keeping with your 30th Anniversary theme, all songs on the table, b-sides and all.

All fans send in 30 songs...Top 30 get performed. Easy as that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. that would be wonderful...top 30 songs...and then an encore or two

    ReplyDelete
  34. thank you andrew....we are two by know.....anyone else?.....

    ReplyDelete
  35. ram, i'd have to think it over a bit more, but basically what you are suggesting is that they play several albums each night chronologically. it sounds good on the surface, but when you get to wms/bf/tc, the idea won't be as popular. i myself would go to that show very happily! but perhaps others would not, and it would be an empty room. but then i'd have the room to myself, so maybe I do like this idea. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. i think everyone would be on board with the idea, just doesn't think it's possible...tim's idea is a good alternative

    ReplyDelete
  37. it might be less popular with those albums, but would still be amazing

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ram - I think it is a nice dream, but think you would have better luck with Tim's suggestion.

I like the idea of fans being able to choose the set list as it will remove the 'casual songs' and bring back the darker, more atmospheric tracks.

    ReplyDelete
  39. OR perhaps you are suggesting that they play the songs randomly? even so, some sets will be wildly better than others.

    i like tim's idea better. :-)

and we can add to tim's idea that for encores they play b-sides - chosen by fans of course.

    ReplyDelete
  40. yes but wtf video? both songs are cut off! D; i want to hear raaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnn

    ReplyDelete
  41. i would want Robert to choose the encores and surprise us

    ReplyDelete
  42. ok tim ....you are right....30 songs by every concert it sound good to me......
    we are by know......anyone else?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Aw, Craig is writing personal notes to me on the front page.

BE MY ATLANTA DATE CRAIG! OR CHARLOTTE! OR FT. LAUDERDALE!

    ReplyDelete
  44. andrew, i concur...but the poll could be hidden and we wouldn't know the results and robert could still surprise us. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Next year might bring some shows that do include nothing but fan favorites, but I doubt another entire U.S. tour.

They'd have to add a couple of folks to the band to pull off certain tracks and relearn them as well. I'm certain they're rusty on quite a few.

Thing is, Robert Smith KNOWS we want our favorite songs but homeboy is gonna do exactly what he wants to, when he wants to and we're just gonna have to be happy with whatever results he decides to give us.

    ReplyDelete
  46. 2late and birdmad girl, robert!

you, me and some excellent songs. lets make it happen!

    ReplyDelete
  47. How about the "Sunny Trilogy?"

Head on the Door, Kiss Me, & Wish.

    that would be great :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. i would kill to see wish performed in its entirety!

    ReplyDelete
  49. i don't want to thay removed any song, they can play all songs

    ReplyDelete
  50. ive NEVER heard someone refer to smith as "homeboy". the man has a new nickname!

but i will call him "holmes"

    ReplyDelete
  51. I can't listen to the UTS version link on the front page (oops, I should be more specific as there have been so many UTS links). The most recent one. Does it have the dreamy end like Red Rocks or is it the yelling end like the Hollywood Bowl?
If it is the latter, then I am with Cat.

    ReplyDelete
  52. i loooooooooove that new ending to UTS. perfect accompaniment to the guitar work. the question is...will we see either version on the new album? :/

    ReplyDelete
  53. These Pacific Time Zone shows are killing me...soo glad they are coming back East.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Craig I do like the new UTS version now that I've seen the VIDEO of it! I don't understand that, though, because just listening to it I have a different reaction.

I do think that for the album, though, Robert should tone down the vocals and intensity of the ending just a bit.

Still, all in all it's a brilliant fucking song, but I need to stop listening to it.

    ReplyDelete
  55. i don't know which version of UTS i prefer...they are both incredible

    ReplyDelete
  56. elise, you might like it better if you see the video. somehow, it works. i kinda hope they do the dreamy version for the album, though.

    ReplyDelete
  57. sofia: i prefer bobby, or better yet, a merging of the two: homebobby

    ReplyDelete
  58. I think that once the cure leave the west and come into texas - the southwest, and the gateway to the deep south - we will see a change in setlists. maybe not a dramatic one, but a change.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Cat - good to hear.
Elise - oh no, you too?

I love both, but the soaring vocals are fantastic!

    ReplyDelete
  60. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1wEFfrko6Y
    who are these dillweeds?!

    ReplyDelete
  61. LOL - Craig is just too cute lately! Elise, now he's flirting with you.

    ReplyDelete
  62. ok i to give up........

but i like the sunny trilogy...

    ReplyDelete
  63. hahaha i love it when people use the term dillweeds

    ReplyDelete
  64. craig, in the video, you can see robert sing them with such passion, and so they make sense in that context. perhaps i just wasn't prepared the first time when i merely listened.

    ReplyDelete
  65. sofia, how dare you! that's my boyfriend and my brother.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I can't help but wonder if we'd be this excited had the album been out before this tour...were these delays just sort of brilliant marketing by "home-bobby"? I mean really...just about EVERYBODY panned The Cure and could have cared less if they played anything from that disc when they went to Curiosa. Now, we're begging them to play new material and hoping to hear more new stuff.

    It's just a thought.

    ReplyDelete
  67. cat- oh yeah? well they are knob gobblers!

i know theyre not. you said your bf is a snooty frenchman!

    ReplyDelete
  68. sofia-your insults incredible!

    ReplyDelete
  69. andrew, pfft. that wasn't nuthin!

    ReplyDelete
  70. andrew, obscenities like these are like fine wine, dude. savor them. more as the night wears on...

    ReplyDelete
  71. Beavis: Huh huh, Andrew's a dillhole.

Butthead: Shut up, Beavis! ::smacks Beavis::

    ReplyDelete
  72. Cat/Craig - I will check out the video at home tonight, but at this stage my vote is for the dreamy version on the album - it makes me melt everytime I hear it!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Mmmmm...knob gobblers.

Anyway, my bf is indeed a snobbish frog.

tim: i have thought the same exact thing. you are onto something. it's reverse marketing, and has worked very well.

    ReplyDelete
  74. sofia-i will be looking forward to hearing more throughout the night!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Is Before Three on the list? I want more Bloodflowers!

But i'll take anything... 3 hours of the Cure - you just can't go wrong. I never thought we'd see them performing shows of this length again after 2000. Thank You Robert!!!

    (now get to Florida ASAP)

    ReplyDelete
  76. morris-before three isn't on bloodflowers

    ReplyDelete
  77. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  78. haha okay, i'll take your word on that one

    ReplyDelete
  79. so Morris...just where would that comma have gone?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Clockwise: Still finishing making dinner, but had to stop in to say hi. :)

    ReplyDelete
  81. Morris - hoping for UTS, expecting Open.

    ReplyDelete
  82. My money's on "Open", as well.

    ReplyDelete
  83. me as well...and i'm currently listening to Open, so that would be fine with me

    ReplyDelete
  84. v, you stopped making dinner just to gamble? ive got a number to give you. i found it on a card in vegas...

    ReplyDelete
  85. Craig dear, I'm gonna have to disappoint you. I watched it again and while I DO like it, I only like it LIVE. I don't want it to be like that on the album. It just doesn't have the same effect as the dreamy version. It flowed a bit more before. Now it's a rather startling abrupt change in tone.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I feeling tonight will be Open, being they played last night.

I think they are saving Want for Cat in Texas..giving her as much WMS as possible....just don't see them closing with Bare, although they did for the majority of the Swing Tour.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Sofia: Naw, just passing the time while I wait for it to finish. :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love the anticipation of getting the first message with the opening song. : )

    ReplyDelete
  90. I agree with the masses - I think it will be Open tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  91. tim: Want would be cool, but OOTW or The Holy Hour would be sublime.

But since I am going to four shows, here are my dream openers: UTS in Texas, Want in Ft. Laud, OOTW in Atlanta, Holy Hour in Charlotte. End with the best.

    ReplyDelete
  92. im so excited for my family at that show right now!!!

about 12 of them are there right now! and although we are mexicans they came in TWO vans. not one volkswagon beetle. har.

    ReplyDelete
  93. v- you got croc there in that jambalaya?! yummy...

    ReplyDelete
  94. Hi everyone.

    Good night !!!!

What are the feelings about tonite´s show?

    ReplyDelete
  95. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Leave those gators alone! : )

    ReplyDelete
  97. v- no...id like to not eat pink plastic. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  98. what if i wrestle it with my bare hands, craig? then? maybe a little? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  99. hello all...just wondering if anyone plans on going to either NYC show? I am trying to decide if I should make the trip....

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hey Mad Bob. Feeling it will be a good show.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Craig: We don't have gators here, either - neither the kinds that live in the water nor the kinds that wear orange and blue. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  102. Cat-you should go veg! i've been veg 3 and a half years and love it

    ReplyDelete
  103. Go Gators!

(i can't believe i just typed that on a Cure comments...)

    ; )

    ReplyDelete
  104. v - I agree totally - I do NOT get the appeal of those fugly shoes!!!!!! Seriously

    ReplyDelete
  105. mad bob: we've had two good shows lately - the shrine which will forever being "enshrined" in cure history, and the wackyness of san diego.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Clockwise: I believe Colorado is responsible for those gnarly shoes, too! If I'm not mistaken, the Crocs company is based in Boulder. :)

A part of me misses the gators in Florida, but I will admit that Prairie Dogs are cuter.

    ReplyDelete
  107. andrew, i was vegetarian for five years. i am a lapsed vegetarian now. *feels very guilty*

    ReplyDelete
  108. Morris: Did you go to UF?

Mad Bob: Did I say hi to you already? :) If not, hi!

    ReplyDelete
  109. No sofia, leave...the...gators...alone!
Unless it's those Florida Gators. you can have them. : )

    ReplyDelete
  110. April - Though about the NYC show (thanks to a comment from Craig yesterday), but with the flights starting at $3,000 it is a bit pricey. But if I win lotto tonight, I am THERE!

    ReplyDelete
  111. Sorry, Craig, but as far as I am concerned, THIS is the ultimate COF Kitten-pleaser video. Check out starting at 2:44 - meeee-yow!

    ReplyDelete
  112. cat-i just don't see how i could ever eat meat again...i understand that some people lapse, i just really hope that i don't

    ReplyDelete
  113. Hey! Did I miss anything or they haven't started yet?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Cat - Go Veg. It's the only way, it's the only way to be. : )

    ReplyDelete
  115. I´m agree, as all i wish to see UTS played indoors.

    But Open looks more possible.

    Let´s see.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Rev: I think I know which one this is... :)

    ReplyDelete
  117. V, shame on Colorado for making such skanky footwear! you should move.

    ReplyDelete
  118. craig, what is that? basketball? bah!

    ReplyDelete
  119. Clockwise: Working on it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  120. elise - yeah, I'm lucky, i have a free flight and I work in hotels so I can get a cheap room...but its 3000 miles....just wondering if its worth it

    ReplyDelete
  121. Rev - I'll have to wait until I get home from work to watch the video - DAMN those firewalls!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Hi to you all by the way! lol

    ReplyDelete
  123. Heron - yes, we all know already. : )

    ReplyDelete
  124. hi fantac, how are you tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  125. if i told any normal person that i was flying 3000 just to see a concert they might think i was a bit off the rocker

    ReplyDelete
  126. andrew, try being romantically involved with a french person who cooks really delicious meat dishes! he can cook veg as well, but i just finally got very weak. i would actually love to be a VEGAN, and have been threatening to do so for a while.

but i am still 80% veg - meaning that i don't eat meat ALL the time, and often still go for the veg options at restaurants.

    does that count? *is hopeful*

    ReplyDelete
  127. Sofia - basketball, baseball, but mainly, those football gators.

    ReplyDelete
  128. April - "Is it worth it" - If it wasn't for the cost I would travel the 11,632 miles to see them in a flash!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  129. I'm late! lol

    Well apparently not actually ;o)

I'm good Andrew! Thanks for asking. You guys doing good? Party started already? Did Bob maim a front-row fan yet? he he

    ReplyDelete
  130. April: I flew from CO to Germany to see them...twice! Over a long weekend! Was it worth it? Hell yeah! :D

    ReplyDelete
  131. Cat - no, it doesn't count. : )

    ReplyDelete
  132. cat-that is the only way i could see myself eating meat-in France...i'm studying French right now and learning about how much their culture relies on eating meat...i actually used to be vegan...i kinda go on and off a lot, because i love cheese!

    ReplyDelete
  133. april, im going to both shows here in nyc and i'm *told* the RCMH show should be legendary

    ReplyDelete
  134. it´s just me aor the show isn´t started yet?

10.16 pm Here, 8.16 pm there.

    Is everything ok ?

    ReplyDelete
  135. elise - i guess you're right...i just wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy

    ReplyDelete
  136. I'm going about 3,000 miles next week to see them :)

    ReplyDelete
  137. hi mad bob. we've decided to call robert "homeboy" or "homebobby" right now. pass it on!

    ReplyDelete
  138. Sorry, Craig if the link to that video's been done to death already, I haven't read much in the other threads on the board, too much to do today!

    ReplyDelete
  139. bien sur, on est francais donc on sait faire la cuisine, l'amour, la musique et tous ces trucs la...ca va de soit...on raconte aussi beaucoup de conneries pour passer le temps...

    ReplyDelete
  140. V: i did not attend U of F, but lots of my family did. I've been a huge Florida fan since i was a wee lad :)

(i went to USF in Tampa)

The Cure have played Gainesville too! It was a fine show :)

    ((Geux Tigers!))

    ReplyDelete
  141. They are running late tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Gotta go check on dindin. Bbiab!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Cat - why aren't we the normal ones?

    ReplyDelete
  144. v - REALLY?! Wow! That's awesome

sofia - I would go to the RCMH show too! Do you live in NYC?

    ReplyDelete
  145. craig, you broke my heart. i was so good for five years. i am still held as a model of self-restraint by friends and family.

    *curls up in fetal position*

    ReplyDelete
  146. i'm pretty sure eating meat only 20% of the time doesn't allow you to qualify yourself as a vegetarian. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  147. cat - yeah, i guess you are right, i am just trying to get everything worked out. I don't even have a ticket yet but I'm not too worried about that!

    ReplyDelete
  148. Any clue abouth the start delay Craig ?

    Is RSx fine ?

Or they are just waiting for a VIP for check in ?

    ReplyDelete
  149. Ladies and gentlemen, we have waves!!!

    ReplyDelete
  150. ml68 - La cuisine, l'amour... Oui d'accord! Mais la musique??? Je ne suis pas si sûr! :oP!!!

    ReplyDelete
  151. april, don't pass it up, it will be worth it! Free flight? Why would you hesitate?

    ReplyDelete
  152. Any clue abouth the start delay Craig ?

    Is RSx fine ?

Or they are just waiting for a VIP for check in ?

    ReplyDelete
  153. GET OUT!!!!!! I can't believe they played UTS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  154. UTS again OH HELL YES !!!!!!!!

    Thanxs RSx ......

    ReplyDelete
  155. Alleluia!!! UTS indoors, right???

    :oD!!!!

I am definitely starting praying for them to play it in NYC!!! :oD!!!!! There's hope!!!

    ReplyDelete
  156. elise: i don't want to be normal because normal peeps are boring and don't take risks and live their lives picking their noses while listening to lame-ass morning show djs in between linkin park and nickleback.

life is about art and literature and music and doing crazy shit liking flying to venus to see a cure concert.

    ReplyDelete
  157. sofia - maybe you can give me some tips on how to get into town. Don't know whether i will fly into EWR,JFK or LGA. That's the only thing I am worried about because I don't want to rent a car

    ReplyDelete
  158. Hey all, I've just been informed that the Penguins lost the Stanley Cup. Generally I don't give two shits about sports but I do live in Pittsburgh so I kind of have to at the moment. So any RS, let's have a nice set list tonight to cheer me up eh?

    btw vegetarian-fives!

    ReplyDelete
  159. april, and i see you live in portland and like anthony bourdainnnnnnnn. sexy man.

    ReplyDelete
  160. UTS!!! there is hope for the east coast yet.

    ReplyDelete
  161. ok, its good to see that people don't think i am nuts for flying from Portland to NYC for a show...

    ReplyDelete
  162. sorry to hear about your Penguins annie, but i'm glad to see your enthusiasm about vegetarians!

    ReplyDelete
  163. We'll see if Homebobby does the Dreamy Version or the Tortured Cat Version of the UTS ending.

    ReplyDelete
  164. April, don't worry about getting around too much, NYC is one of those places with TONS of transit options.

    ReplyDelete

  167. andrew-- Oh I'm not really that sorry, but I do fear that some of my friends will be suicidal. Particularly one girl who may be more obsessed with Sidney Crosby than anyone here is with Simon Gallup...

So cheer up! People in Toronto haven't seen a cup winner (or contender for that matter lol) since 1968!!! Sydney Crosby was actually crying btw! Awwwwww...

  172. April: you are very SANE for pursuing your passion. 10 years ago I quit my job and went to Spain for 6 months. Will never regret it, even if upon my return I struggled employment-wise and so on. Fuck it all - life is about FUN AND ART!

I need to take more risks.

  176. Cat - Fair enough about not wanting to be normal. I was just suggesting that I don't think of myself as 'abnormal' as a result of my passions and obsessions.
